The Start of My Mother's Day Weekend

My workplace gave me some Peonies for Mother's

Day weekend & was on a good natural high only to be brought fully back down to Earth when I came home & discovered my house had been broken into! They only took $70 & a Wii, but still!

Lockdown!

I received a call yesterday around 1:30 pm informing me that my daughter's school & another school in her School District were on lockdown. - About 15 minutes after the first call I get another one that states that the police have given the "All Clear". - When Angela came home from school I told her that I heard she had an exciting day at school. To which she asked, "The school called you?" "Called me about what?", I replied. She thought they had called me to let me know about the three ribbons (See blog before this one) she won in Special Olympics. I then proceeded to inform her about her school being in lockdown & she said they were on the bus back from the High School at that time. Talk about having to worry for nothing!

Three Ribbons

Angela came home today with three ribbons after participating in Special Olympics at the High School. She received First for Softball Throw, First for Long Jump, Area Second for 100 Meter Dash. Tomorrow she is going to be in the Student Recognition Night for Special Olympics. On another note:I am happy to have found out that she was at Special Olympics or on the bus coming back from it while her school and another one were on lockdown for 15 minutes or a little longer.

Funny Stories

I know some of you have already saw these on Facebook, but this is for the ones who don't do FB & follow my blog. Story 1: I always have Angela text me that she is up & getting ready for school. The other day I texted her, "Don't forget to text me!" A little while after that I get a text from her that said, "Awake" & then right after that comes another one saying, "Kind of" & yet another stating, "Ok Awake". Story 2: The other night Angela was talking about how I'm a neat freak. I told her that I got it from her Grandma. Then she proceeded to tell me that she would like to be a neat freak too but doesn't have the energy! Story 3: I had the great pleasure of seeing a fox in my neighborhood yesterday morning on my way into work! Later that morning I was telling a customer about it & he asked me if it was gray or red?. To which I replied that it was red. He then said, "I thought he was dead." For those of you who don't know, there used to be a comedian that went by the stage name of Redd Foxx.

Trial Run

I hope that I am finally back up & running! I finally have an Android phone on which I can get onto the Internet, so this is just to see if a can ssseduccessfully post my blogs & pictures. Which I have missed so thoroughly doing!

What A RELIEF!

My air conditioner at home has a mind of its own. Sometimes it wants to work and other times it don't.

Needless to say I haven't had air conditioning for about a month. So yesterday I was going to see if I could tape the button down on the air conditioner to get it to cool down the house some.

After I turned it on and went in search of some tape, it decided it wanted to start working!

Hopefully it will stay that way for awhile.

Although it is 84 in here right now, it sure is a lot nicer than outside!

Strange Surprise

The other day my daughter left her cell phone charger at her Aunt's, so I let her have mine since we have the same kind of cell phone.

To charge mine I would have to use the car charger that my mom gave me, because they (my parents) weren't using it and was only laying in the glove compartment of their truck.

The other day I came home and wanted to charge my Blue Tooth and accidentally plugged in my phone instead and saw that my Blue Tooth Charger can also charge my phone!
