Just Teasing

While my niece was deployed my mom was watching her one dog Lucy who is part greyhound and Angela had left her things lying on the table to go do something.
When Angela got back I heard her say, "What happened to my pencil?"

To which I jokingly replied, "Lucy probably has it." Sure enough Lucy was happily chomping away on the pencil!

My Car's a Magnet!

My car has been in a total of 7 (yes, I said 7) accidents since I have owned it!

1. Someone (never found out who did it) hit my car while parked on the parking lot of the apartments that I lived in.

2. My car was hit on the Cingular (now AT&T) parking lot (the people came into the store & told me they hit it).

3. A lady (who didn't have a very nice personality) said I hit her.

4. A lady rear-ended me (Angela & Andru were with me on this one) while I was at a complete stop on an exit ramp.

5. A guy on a motorbike crashed into my car (while I was getting ready to back into my parents driveway & saw him coming, so I just stayed stopped in the street).

6. A teenager was speeding down my parents street & hit two other vehicles before finally crashing into a utility pole by my parents house & the wood that splintered from the utility pole hit my car.

7. A guy rear-ended my car (just me this time) while I was at a complete stop on an exit ramp (the same exit ramp that I was on when the lady hit my car).

Not to mention the numerous close calls it's had. Like the two it was almost in yesterday. In the morning a vehicle came speeding off a side street without stopping (luckily I hit my brakes in enough time) & in the afternoon a vehicle that was in the lane beside me cut in front of me to turn onto my street.

Ten to go!

I haven't really been keeping up on my weight blog, but I have been keeping records. I will update it later.

The other day I was looking at the weight record I tried to keep since the beginning of 1997.

I noticed that I only have ten more pounds to lose before I can reach the weight I was before I became pregnant with Angela.

Poor Guy

Yesterday I went to Aldi's and I asked the cashier if they had biscuit gravy and his reply was, "What's that?"

I told him it was white gravy that you put on top of biscuits.

He said, "I guess since I don't know what that is, I guess we don't have it."

I guess this guy leads a very sheltered life since he doesn't know what biscuit gravy is!

Update

I closed on my house on May 13 and was moved in by the last weekend in June.

I have some really awesome neighbors! One fixed a couple of boards in my privacy fence after my nieces dog, Jack, broke through it and another took all the weeds of my Marigold flower bed.

On August 30th I went to the Overland Fair and won a storage shed for my new home.

When school first started there were three days my stomach was really messing up on me and I could only eat saltine crackers and drink only water (I was told later that I probably had the Swine Flu).

From October 6th until about October 12th Angela gave me one of the virusses (not Swine Flu) going around. Hers started on the 4th and ended on the 10th.

On October 13th I was in a small rear-end collision accident. I went to DePaul Hospital in an Ambulance because my lower neck and lower back were hurting. Nothing was broken, but I was having muscle spasms and they wanted me to stay home one day to see how I reacted to the medication they prescripted. It was a good thing too because the muscle relaxant really knocked me out.

I will be posting more later.

Sad to Report

I am very sorry to report that I will no longer be posting any blogs for quite some time now. Due to other things taking priorities. I will be very busy moving into my new house and trying to get things organized.

I really appreciate everyone who read my blogs and hope that I will be able to come back soon.

Take care everyone!

Sincerely,
Jeanette

Stone's Aversion

The other day I bought an enclosed litter box thinking that Stone would absolutely love the privacy.

Oh, how so very WRONG I was!

She detested it so much that she had to relieve herself on my bed with me sleeping in it!

How Slow Am I?

I don't know how many times I have watched Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney Channel when they have Mr. Laritate on.

The other day we were watching an episode and my mom wanted to see if one of the actresses on it was who she thought it was and it was, but right after they showed who played Mr. Laritate and that is when I realized that who played him was someone who went to High School with me.

After I realized this I felt very dim-witted.

All I have to say is KUDOS to you Mr. Bill Chott for landing such a prestigious role!

Angela and The Bucket

Angela wasn't feeling very well this day and wanted to stay downstairs, so we said that if she felt like she was going to throw up to get a bucket out of the laundry room.

My mom thought she was actually throwing up in this picture, but she just put the bucket in front of her face because she didn't want her picture taken.

House Hunting

As alot of you already know that the reason I haven't been blogging much lately is because I have been looking for a home. I thought I would like to share the pictures I took while I was looking. I had already decided to try and get this house and was showing it to my son at the time. I know they aren't much to look at, but I will post new ones once I have my things moved in.

It was a foreclosed home, so I will need to do repairs and get it reinspected before I get the Occupancy permit.

Living Room

Dining room

A look into the kitchen. I love those recessed shelves!

What they call the Family Room, but will be Angela's playroom.

My Bedroom

Angela's Bedroom

Computer Room

Bathroom (Which will have a Aquatic Dolpin theme to it.)
It also has a carport with a storage area and a privacy fence.

Hilarious!

Imagine you are a passenger in a car and you happen to see these to signs. I couldn't help but to laugh.
Below is the place where the signs are posted.

The fish pond they have there.

Heart Health Fair

There where many fun things to do at the Health Fair.

For the kids the had a booth set up that let them know how much sugar was in their drinks. Another had it where they could make Trail Mix. They also had a singer that goes by the name of Babaloo (sorry if I spelt that wrong) for them.

MOM! Quit taking my picture!

I always knew Angela had a bubbly personality!

Angela getting TPed!

I told Angela to get close to him. That he wouldn't bite, but he said maybe he would.
For the Adults they had Blood Pressure and Cholesterol testing. A taste testing area that sported healthy food choices. Some informative lectures (which I did not attend due to being at the kid's area) and a cooking healthy demonstration (got to try some very yummy food).
During my confrontation with the Nutritionist (after getting my blood pressure taken and cholesterol test done) I was told to lower my salt intake and to try to eat more fish and chicken.
To which my daughter replied, "Does this mean we can't go to Taco Bell after this?" Right in front of the Nutritionist!

What's Your Hairstyle Today?

I believe this is one that I will continually add to, since my daughter likes to put or have her hair put in different hairstyles.

In the above picture Angela had braided her hair front and back all by herself.
Below: Me, my mom, & Angela all went to Fantastic Sams to have our hair done. I really like this hairstyle on her.

Angela's 11th Birthday Celebration

For Angela's birthday celebration we went to the Cracker Barrel out in St. Charles.

I'm sorry, but using a Christmas card for a Birthday card, in my opinion, is just hokey.

Now if you ever want to make sure a person is totally embarassed by their name and birthday being announced loudly so the whole restaurant can hear, just ask for Tammy. She is the one in the upper right corner of the above picture.

Butterfly House Part Six (Final Posting)

I know some of you have already seen a partial posting of this, but it was premature. I wasn't quite finished with it. Sorry!

My best advice to you would be to take off your coat and put it in the coatroom before you go in the area where they keep the butterflies, because it is kept extremely warm in there!

This is one of my favorites that I took. I am thinking of having it made into a poster.
I would also like to get this one made into a poster.

This lady just kept having butterflies land on her! We figured it was either the perfume she was wearing or the butterflies were trying to camoflage with her outfit.
